Mia Farlane will be talking about her literary heritage and introducing her mother Marilyn Duckworth’s fifth novel, Disorderly Conduct (Hodder and Stoughton), winner of the New Zealand Book Award in 1985. Livestreamed to Lille’s public library, Kristen Phillips and Mia Farlane will be reading a scene from chapter 2. Mia will be reading the French translation that she did in collaboration with Christelle Didier. Kristen will be reading the original, in English.
