Todd Atticus designs multiple covers for And How Are Things With You

Todd Atticus wrote a fascinating piece for Spine magazine about the process of creating multiple covers for And How Are Things With You. Above are images of several covers he designed.

I love the yellow line / London Underground one — Franny, the main character in And How Are Things With You, spends some time there. I also especially love the cover next to it, with the title in blue fragments. And I was very moved by the cover with the expanse of open water and the yellow line. But the one Todd, Mākaro Press and I chose (top left) is the one — so much ‘blue-sky’ thinking went into its creation, the end result of all the other covers. I love the tone and colours, and the subtlety.

I feel very grateful to Todd Atticus and to Mākaro Press — three months now, until the book comes out.
